Tasmanias poppy crop at WOOLMERS in Longford, established by the Archer brothers in 1840. I have been there and seen the high fence around those moneymaker poppies, the Archer family still grafting on government as they did in 1840 getting free land and free convict labor to get rich. This week, May 2013, news headlines that they want to grow poppies in Victoria to meet the enormous need for opiates. the more things change, the more they stay the same.
